Skywings, the official magazine of the British Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association, is the only magazine dedicated to free flying in the United Kingdom. It has been published monthly since 1975 to inform, educate and entertain those in the sport. This glossy A4 magazine is distributed by mail to around 7,000 BHPA members, and by subscription to countless more pilots and organisations around the world.
Skywings is read by almost every UK hang glider, paraglider, paramotor and powered hang glider pilot. Printed in full colour, it includes up-to-date national and international news from the free-flying world, reviews of gliders and equipment, new product reviews, competition reports, interviews with personalities within the sport, travel features, safety advice, a pilots‘ discussion forum and lots more!
Skywings carries advertising from every major player in the UK free flight industry: manufacturers, importers, dealers and a host of peripheral businesses: schools, providers of specialist training courses and overseas accommodation. A classified section offers a wide range of second-hand gliders and equipment.

Some comments from our readers...
"Just a note to say how much I like the look of the new Skywings. In 1975, when the first magazine was put together on a shoestring budget, we all had a dream of how it might look at some time in the future. Skywings as it is today lives up to that expectation. It's a pat on the back to the very professional editing and design team, and to all the contributors who make Skywings such a brilliant magazine."
Mark Woodhams, Falmouth.
"The new-look Skywings? From my world it's superb - the faint picture overlays, dramatic front-page picture (we don't all need in-your-face, full-frame pictures of wings to make it work), new typeface and format. It all makes for a more interesting publication."
Quentin Rees, Torquay
"Great edition generally by the way. As usual, awake until 1:30am reading every scrap!"
James Jackson, Cumbria
